The Brushes' closure
The Brushes: 1920 - 2000 RIP
Summer 2002 saw the old Brushes school closed down in preparation of demolition followed by the opening of the new Longley Park 6th form College in 2004. An official 'open night' was held in commemoration of the event. Shown above is Brian Bates on the staircase of the old school. Note the beautiful stained-glass window on the 'dog leg'.
