I left Firth Park at the end of 1957 and thereafter earned my living in various ways, among others as an engineering fitter, truck driver and merchant navy officer. In 1973 I came to Germany looking for variety in life, met and married Ingrid and I've been here since then. I'm now in early(ish) retirement. My wife found this site and drew my attention to it. I  was immediately fascinated by two items. Firstly the photos of the school orchestra and secondly the guided tour of the school buildings which I found astonishingly accurate and which filled in many holes in my sketchy memory. Many thanks for a fine site. I'm looking forward to spending many pleasant hours reminiscing.
