Heads

School Heads:
Dr Lloyd Storr-Best - the first Head Master of Firth Park School from 1919 - 1932. He was most remarkable character in that he knew ten languages including ancient and modern Greek. He was also a fine gymnast, was on intimate terms with all the leading Sheffield industrialists, kept an excellent wine cellar and distained the Sheffield Education Office.

Mr W Padfield - was the second Head Master of the school - from 1932 - 1948. His office was on the first floor of the tower, replaced by Mr W R C Chapman.
Mr W R C Chapman - the school's third Head from 1948 - 1958 - replaced Mr W Padfield
Mr H J S Wilson - Head teacher from 1958 - 1972. One of the 'old school' and used to walk around the school in his black gown.  An impressive character - tall and very much looked the part of a grammar school Head.

T R Sanderson took over from Mr Wilson and was Head from1972 - 1976
Dr Hartley was Head from 1977
