I was a pupil from 1937 to Feb 1942 when I left to join the RAF as an Aprentice. Are there any more at home like me?

I went to Hatfield House and the Brushes from 1971 - 1978 and I was in classes F1 and F2 which, I think were top notch. I have read all the previous posts and been reminded of lots of the teachers from the time.

Pupils and school mates I remember from different classes include:

Andy Leach, Tim Graham, John Whyman, Vinny, Chris Vincent, Javed Dean...the only indian guy in the "top" class.
Dave Gibson, Wayne Leary, Roy Goddard, Steve Gregory or is that Dave?
Wendy Wootton, Donna Howells, Stuart Pope. Popey.
Stewart Johnson, Simon Christian, Basil Braithwaite, Janet Williams, Tracy Hudson, Susan Stobbs, Judy Powell, Carol Bailey , Gill Bailey, Anne Lawson , to name but a few…

The teachers I remember:
Jennings and Adolf Smith - History; Howdle and Sam Jones - French; Pilley and Lenny Benskin - Geog' Hoggart for English.
Lockwood for metalwork; Boris haywood for Russian; Jenny Ullman for Economics AND yes, Webster and Sanderson the heads or deputy heads. Last but not least, that much quoted (psycho?), John Jackson, the music teacher.

Anyone remember....Mambo,mambo, mexicana mambo, mambo, mambo, mexicana, mexicana, mexicana, OY at the City Hall! (THE firth park Christmas presentation/musical)?

Blimey. This was all thirty years ago now..... Also, I have been back up to what is now the Longley park college...studied Spanish at evening class for a bit.

Be good to catch up with some old mates, old faces again....maybe!

I was a pupil of FPGS from 1937 to1942. Are there any other dinosaurs left I would be pleased to hear from them.

03.10.09 Looking for any of the 1947 to 1952 Red Caps who might remember me. There seems to be a gap of "Old Boys" during those years. Looking especially for any of the old 5C group in Spike's room.

I am looking for Dennis Marsden, Walter Wales and anyone of that 5c class.
